A layer a day - A spread a week: week 24

Hello Butterflies!!

Helen here for this weeks’ A Layer a Day challenge!

In case this is the first time you read about the challenge, check out the first blog post on the subject here, where we explain what it is all about.

You can join the fun at any time on the France Papillon and Creative Butterflies facebook group, where lots of alad spreads and in between layers get shared, which will definitely help your mojo to be inspired!

week 23

What's holding you back?

I do hope that you are enjoying all the challenges and have gained some inspiration from France and her Butterfly creative team!! I know I have! It is always fun to learn a new technique, or try a new product … but sometimes we have that little something in the back of our mind that holds us back from experimenting. It holds us back from becoming the creative person that we are. It holds us back from being truly happy with what we do.

Why do we hold back sometimes? Is it fear of failure? Are we not good enough? Will people judge us? All these thoughts are not the most positive ones to have when you are in that creative space (or any space for that matter). This week I want you to break free… try something new, show us in your journal what is holding you back!

And remember… It’s not who you are that holds you back, it’s who you think you’re not!

Happy creating!
