A layer a day - A spread a week: week 49
Hello Lovely Butterflies!
Saadia will be taking you through a new challenge for the week. I did wanted to remind you though, it only takes 5 minutes a day to put down a layer in your journal. It doesn't need to be complicated, but it can if that's what you feel like doing!
Now in case this is the first time you read about the challenge, check out the first blog post on the subject here, where we explain what it is all about.
You can join the fun at any time on the France Papillon and Creative Butterflies facebook group, where lots of alad spreads and in between layers get shared, which will definitely help your mojo to be inspired!
This is what Saadia has to say about her challenge:
To me, ‘Love yourself’ means to accept myself as who I am and to come to terms with those aspects of myself that I cannot change. To have self respect, a positive self image and to love my work.
How do you find your unique abilities and how do you take care of yourself physically, mentally and spiritually? What do you do to accept yourself as who you are?
I hope you will take part in this week’s ALAD challenge.
See you in France Papillon and creative butterflies Facebook group.
Here are some wordings to help you further:
We often forget that we have one recurrent bully, one that knows exactly how to get us down and that will never leave us be: OURSELVES!
We are often the ones who beat ourselves up about everything and anything. It's a bully that never takes a break and worse of all, that is present in such a unconscious way that we forget to pay attention to it.
How about we focus on that this week, sweet Butterflies?
How about, instead of beating ourselves up for beating ourselves up, we give ourselves some love?
Find your unique abilities, as Saadia is saying, give yourself some care. Accept yourself.
Now to do that, is one thing, to journal about it is another.
My suggestion would be to accept everything it is you put on paper. The beautiful, the ugly and the worse.
And instead of focusing on the journaling you don't like, you focus daily on one little thing you love about yourself.
Something it is you do, something you said, how you made someone feel good about themselves, the list is endless.
Focus on that to put on paper and no matter how it comes out, replace the words of judgement of your own art, by words of love.
You might not be were you want to be today, journaling wise, but that doesn't mean you won't be there tomorrow. And you're still beating all those that don't do anything about how they feel about themselves!
You got this.
