Butterfly Squad creative team inspiration: Kathleen

Hello sweet Butterflies,

If you've watched my first show on Hochanda TV on November 10th, you can not have missed the piece we're talking about today. It completely stole the show! It was so amazing that my producer decided to dim the lights during the show not once but twice, so that we could fully appreciate this little wonder! I'm talking about Kathleen's light tag of course!

Today, this awesome team member of mine is so generous as to share just how she made it with you. This is what she has to say (love how modest she is about it!!):

Did you see France on the Hochanda TV shows? Well I made the tags with the lights and I want to share this one with you how I made it.

So today something totally different from me…

I hope you like it.

Have fun!

I started with different colors in the same tones blue and of course black and white and pouring medium on the tag.

I used some glass bead gel with a stencil from France. When the gel was dry, I made the holes with the crop-a-dile (keep in mind the distance of the lights!). The holes that I made I painted black, so you do see the grey color from the tag.

Time to put the lights on the tag, so I glued them on the back with hot glue. I used a piece of wood on the back, so I could glue the battery on. To make the glass bead gel pop out more, I went over it with some gold paint with a brush (dry brush technique).

Last but not least, my focal point, I stamped with France new stamp set and used the heart from the tags and embellishments kit. I used distress ink and splatter some water, the heart I painted red.

That’s my tag for this time, hope you liked it.

See you back here soon!

Cheers :)

Kathleen
