A layer a day - A spread a week: week 43

Hello sweet Butterflies,

It's Corrie today !

In case this is the first time you read about the challenge, check out the first blog post on the subject here, where we explain what it is all about.

You can join the fun at any time on the France Papillon and Creative Butterflies facebook group, where lots of alad spreads and in between layers get shared, which will definitely help your mojo to be inspired!

week 43

Thankful

The prompt for this week's ALAD challenge is 'thankful'.

I normally don't really journal about my feelings but in this case I made an exception. I was thinking what I was thankful for and I all I could think about was my virtual friends.

I will tell you why. 29 Years ago I moved house after a divorce and landed in the province of Limburg in Holland. I left lots of 'friends' behind; they all dropped me like a stone.

People around here are not open to 'incomers' and no matter how hard we tried with clubs, work colleagues, neighbours and who ever would talk to us, now, 29 years later we virtually have no friends. Funnily enough we have quite a few scattered around the world outside the Netherlands but on a daily basis it is hubby and me against the world ! :o)

I have sort of gotten used to it but you can imagine how thankful I am for all my Facebook friends, they fill a gap in my life, especially as we hardly have any family either. As my spread will say at the end : perfectly imperfect ! I love you all !

So, this week I would like you to think about what you are thankful for and let that thought inspire you when you make your art journal spread. I can't wait to see what you create !

Of course I will be sharing my pages throughout the week and the whole spread will be finished next week !

Please share your layers on the France Papillon and Creative Butterflies facebook group ! If you have any questions about this weeks prompt or anything else, please let me know and I'll do my best to answer them..

Have fun ! Corrie
