Hello lovely butterflies!
It is Jane here again and this time I am sharing a mixed media tag with you.
I really enjoy creating dimension within many of my projects and like to work with different substrates such as greyboard, so I love that France has her own greyboard tags and embellishments that I was able to use to add some height to this creation.
I started by choosing 3 of the tags plus one of the heart embellishments to decorate, and painted them using the American Décor chalky finish paint…
Next I used the small circles stencil with the Yesteryear paint to create interest on the two largest tags…
I felt that they needed a little more definition so used a silver uniball pen to add dots around the circles…
Using a script stamp from the London New York set, I stamped using clear embossing ink and then heat embossed with a fine detail silver powder…
A few years ago I really enjoyed creating jewellery and have lots of materials left over so I thought that these would look good within this project. I chose a large round bezel to match the circles and added a piece of paper coloured with the chalk paint and stamped with the script. The embellishments (beads, micro beads and glitter) were added to the bezel into a layer of triple thick glaze and then more glaze added once the first layer had dried. I used the same embossing powder to create the words and the bee and coloured the cambric and paper with the same paints used previously…
All the pieces were then layered and adhered with strong glue and wire added to the top to hang the tag with…
I hope you enjoyed my mixed media project.
Thank you for looking and see you again soon, happy crafting!
Jane xx
