Butterfly Squad creative team inspiration: Natascha
Hi Hi sweet Butterflies, Natascha here.
I’m back with an art journal spread for you as my personal project. I think a lot of things in life is in contrast with each other, so that’s what my spread is all about. I hope you like it…..
First I added Gesso on my page and when it was dry, I stamped 2 different stamps from France.
I stamped it opposite direction from each other on the two different pages.

Next I added with a palette knife some modeling paste through the "Torned circle" stencil on the stamps. Again I work in opposite direction to each other.

Because I wanted bubbles, I dried my modeling paste with a heatgun. I love this technique.

Now I’m ready to add some colors to the pages. On both pages I added English Red Oxide and Burnt Orange. Than on the left page I added DiarylideYellow and on the right page I added Cobalt Turqoise Hue. I applied these colors with a brush and a lot of water.

Finally I added the little number stamp from France, and my background was ready.
For my focal point I used the wings from the bee stamp and painted them with the same yellow and cobalt. On the wings I put some Gloss Glaze and a little glitter from a Wink of stella clear brush. Then I colored some cambric and glued this on some wire from my stash. With the words on top of this and the wings near the words I think my spread is finished.

My words on this spread are ONE DAY / DAY ONE what is also contrast with each other. I hope you like the spread and I hope I have inpired you some way.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Big kisses from me xxx
Natascha
