Butterfly Squad creative team inspiration: Kathleen
Hi hi sweet Butterflies, Kathleen here!
It’s time for a new project in my art journal! This time something that I have never tried before. I hope you like the result so let’s play around and see how we get this pages done.
I wanted to do something different and something I had never done before. I started with some old book pages all over the page and glued them down with matte medium (too bad you don’t see it anymore!). I went over it with real rust powder with white gesso and sprayed it with a mix of water, natural vinegar and salt… Now I had to wait for 24 hours and see if it's working.
I added some paint with the crackled stencil, and added the heart from the rectangles stencil with modeling paste. To give it more interest I made a circle with matte medium and covered it with 3d mini balls.
Making some embellishments of cork, chicken wire, dies, embossing powder and a title stamping. I colored the cambric with paynes grey.
Putting the spread together with matt medium, distress all the edges of the cork and the pages.
That’s my spread for this time, hope you like it.
See you back here soon!
