A layer a day - A spread a week: week 37

Hello sweet Butterflies,

It's Marit again! And I'll help you getting started with next week's challenge.

In case this is the first time you read about the challenge, check out the first blog post on the subject here, where we explain what it is all about.

You can join the fun at any time on the France Papillon and Creative Butterflies facebook group, where lots of alad spreads and in between layers get shared, which will definitely help your mojo to be inspired!

week 37

Pretty in pink

Who knows me well.... pink is my favourite color so it's often used in my artwork. But how about you? What do you think about pink and what's your favourite or often used color. Can I dare you? Dare you to use pink? Or are you horrofied with that color. Surprising things may happen when you step out of your comfortzone. Because there is a whole world outside your comfortzone! ;)

You can think of many different ways to use this color. If you're confident enough ofcourse you can color your whole background in pink. But you can also use little details, some embellishments or even hide some pink in your art journal spread. I'm really curious what you will do.

Take some time to think about it, meditate about it, let it sink in. What happens when you think about pink? Do you see possibilities? Or do you get another image when you think of this color? Hey... that's ok too!

And remember... you don't have to like your spread right away. Even the most experienced artists make stuff they don't like. It's part of life. And you can still show it. Anyone else may think totally different about it. We all like different things, we all have our own unique style. Don't compare yourself to others! You are enough.

I'll be in the FaceBook group to answer your questions, cheer you up and see all your work. Don't be shy!

Love you all and your artwork!

XO Marit
