Butterfly Squad creative team inspiration: Saadia

Hi Everyone,

Sharing with you an art journal spread. I hope you like it.

I glued started by gluing old book pages in my journal.

Next I applied Deco Art’s crackle paste with a palette knife. I let it dry overnight.

Then I applied modelling paste through France Papillon’s large Rock formation stencil. This stencil design is great for adding texture to the project. Next, I added washes of Payne’s Grey and English Red Oxide Deco art Fluid acrylic paints to the pages.

Then, did a bit of background stamping with France’s Illusionary Artists London New York stamp set and Perfect words stamp set.

Next, I stamped two images from London New York stamp set and colored them with the same colors that I used on the background. I assembled my focal point and the title over a piece of dyed cambric and rusty wire.

Thank you for visiting.

I hope you like my journal spread.

Take care.

Saadia Nawaz
