A layer a day - A spread a week: week 30

Hello Butterfly friends!

It´s Melina here.

In case this is the first time you read about the challenge, check out the first blog post on the subject here, where we explain what it is all about.

You can join the fun at any time on the France Papillon and Creative Butterflies facebook group, where lots of alad spreads and in between layers get shared, which will definitely help your mojo to be inspired!

week 30

The way you speak to yourself matters

Today I am sharing my thoughts about something I´ve had reasons to think much about lately ”The way you speak to yourself matters”. This is also the prompt for this weeks ALAD challenge.

I have so many words and thoughts about this subject in Swedish, but I guess most of you would not understand that, so I´ll do my best to express myself in English ;)

A very near and dear person is not feeling very well at the moment. She constantly speaks about herself in a negative way, and I constantly remind her of that what she feeds her brain with will become her reality...

It´s easy to give others advice, right? But how good am I to speak kindly to myself?

How good are you?

In this crafting community I think many people are really good at sharing love and encouragement to others, and that´s a wonderful thing! But, I think we need to get better at giving that to ourselves too. I think many of us are unsure and compare ourselves to others sometimes...

I want this week to be an excercise to speak kindly to yourself.

What are your strengths? Art related or others.

Write them down somewhere (on your page maybe) and let them inspire you when creating.

Let´s take this opportunity to share some love to ourselves, shall we?

I will start: I´m a kind and caring person. For instance, I spent two hours the other day trying to save a dying bumblebee...

I can´t wait to see your layers and pages in the France Papillon and Creative Butterflies facebook group. I´ll be there sharing my layers every day. Give me a shout if you have any questions.

Much love,

Melina

Last week Kathleen made this stunning spread with black, white and fifty shades of grey. But with a surprising and whole different perspective on the numbers and geometry than most of us will have. Love it!
