Butterfly Squad creative team inspiration: Kathleen

Hi hi sweet Butterflies, Kathleen here!

Already a new project in my art journal to share with you. Let’s play around and see what we get.

Have fun!

First I applied a layer gesso on the pages then I played around with modeling paste and the stencils from France, first I used the rectangles small stencil and for the empty places I used the circle small stencil.

To give the pages some colour I used several colours and a lot of water to make it flow. I moved on till I liked the resold.

The colours were a bit to bright for me, so I applied a layer of Antiquing Cream carbon black and took some of with a wet baby wipe. And I love the effect and the structure the page gave me. To seal the page I apply a layer of Ultra-Matte Varnish over the page.

I took some cambic and coloured it with the colours I used before. I stamped the butterfly with black ink and embossed it. For the little butterfly I used the same stamp on shrink plastic heated it with the heattool till it was small, I coloured them with the same colours as the page. The big butterfly I used the Antiquing Cream carbon black again and removed the black till I liked it and also sealed with the Ultra-Matte Varnish. The black cardstock I stamped the text butterfly kisses with white ink and also I embosses it and the edges are distressed.

That’s my pages for this time, hope you liked it.

See you back here soon!

Cheers :)

Kathleen
