A layer a day - A spread a week: week 14

Hi Butterflies!

Helen here with this week’s challenge for ALAD/ASAW. Get your journal ready and let’s begin 5 minutes a day of creating!

In case this is the first time you read about the challenge, check out the first blog post on the subject here, where we explain what it is all about.

You can join the fun at any time on the France Papillon and Creative Butterflies facebook group, where lots of alad spreads and in between layers get shared, which will definitely help your mojo to be inspired!

week 14

Overwhelmed

We all have moments in our lives when we feel overwhelmed with all we have to do. We are constantly being pulled in a few, or a kazillion, different directions in our daily lives. This may be because we are parents and spouses and have to organize or help the kiddos and significant others.

It may be because we have careers that pull us in different directions and demand much of our time. We also have times when just daily living, like housework, getting groceries, paying bills, etc. pull us too! Even in our “ME” time, we can get overwhelmed … even when it comes to art journaling!

I want you to think this week about how you handle being overwhelmed. What do you do to not be overwhelmed? Show us in your art journal how you cope with these feelings.

I know for myself, I am a huge list maker. I have to sit down, clear my mind, and write lists. Once the task is done on my list, it gets checked off, and then on to the next thing. I also tell myself that one little word… focus. It keeps me grounded and able to feel less overwhelmed at that moment!

Let’s see your creativity shine this week …. and don’t get overwhelmed with this... just 5 minutes a day is all it takes!

Can’t wait to see what you all do!
