A layer a day - A spread a week: week 7
Hello lovely Butterflies,
Lots of you are kicking off the weekend with a new 'A Layer A Day - A Spread A Week' challenge and we love that!
In case this is the first time you read about the challenge, check out the first blog post on the subject here, where we explain what it is all about.
If you haven't join the fun yet, you can! Anytime! And don't forget to keep sharing your beautiful results with us on the France Papillon and Creative Butterflies facebook group!
It's a rule.
So it's right. Right?
So many things in life are ruled by so many rules. If there is one thing I like about art journaling, it is that... there are no rules! Art journaling can be abstract or reprensentational, it can be monochromatic or colorful, flat or dimensional, wordless or a complete text, organized chaos or leading to a focal point, and so on and so on!
You could say this can be said in general as it comes to art, but when you include the willing expression of your emotions in your art journal, this becomes liberating!
There is one rule though, you might have to keep in mind. Just so you can break it effectively. And that is that you have to know your products. If you know what can be used how and for what purpose, that is when the fun begins. Because that is when you start doing things your way, following the rule or breaking it... effectively! Using the product how it should be used or... making it work for you!
So this week, we want to invite you to think about rules, those that command your life or those that tell you how a product should be used and to play with it: is that rule making your life easier and do you want to therefore follow it up or on the contrary, is there a rule you are following and that you could do withtout? Is there a product you have always used how it said it should be used or would you like to break that wall and try it in a different way?
Don't think to long about it, focus on the fun! That's a rule ;)
