Butterfly Squad creative team inspiration: Kathleen

Hi hi sweet Butterflies, Kathleen here!

How exciting is this…for me it is!

It’s my first DT-team ever, and what a good one!

Thank you France for having me.

And all the new products that France started, I can only find one word for it….AWESOME!

So let’s make a journal page together.

For the background I started with some texture sand paste and applied it with a pallet knife.

I colored it with restore, left it to dry, than put a layer of americana decor crackle medium over it, left it to dry again and I painted it with yesteryear. I let de medium do his work.

I stamped the background with a text stamp for London New York stamp set by France Papillon with ink.

I applied a layer of black modeling paste with the Rectangles stencil from France Papillon. Over it I applied a layer of one step crackle and when it was dry I added some Antiquing Cream titanium white, and took it off with a baby wipe. I seiled it with a layer of gloss varnish.

I still had no idea where I was going with the page. So I stamped some numbers on it with the Rock'n Rust stamp set by France Papillon.

I took some watercolour paper and started stamping some of the text from the Perfect words stamp set by France Papillon with black ink and put some clear embossing powder over it. I distressed and colored the edges. For the image I used Auntie Margot and Co stamp set by France Papillon which I colored with decoart mixed media paint. I tore some cambric and painted it with dark grey value 3. I put it all together and it became a page.

See you back here soon!

Cheers :)

Kathleen
