Butterfly Squad creative team: Kathleen!
Hi hi sweet Butterflies,
This is so exciting! Day four and fourth member of the team to be revealed, here is... Kathleen!
Never in my wildest dream would I have expected Kathleen to apply to be a member of the team. With her very personal art journaling style, I'm sure she will have wonders to show you in the coming months! But, with no further ado, please welcome Kathleen :)

Hi,
It's time to introduce myself, my name is Kathleen Zweers-Best. Together with my husband and our dog we live in the east of the Netherlands.
In my daily life I work in a man's world. For example, I worked 10 years in an electrical company and after that I started in 2006 in a car company until today. I am a person of approach and am not averse to tools, I am more of a doer and not a thinker. I think it's great to work with my hands.
As a child I was always creative, I was always busy with paper, paint, crayons and clay, which I did rather than watching television.
Most people do not know that I am creative and do not expect that either.
In 2008 I was introduced with scrapbooking, and in 2010 it became mixed media. I fell in love immediately, and now I can not live without it. I like to do so many things, like canvas, travel planner, but I prefer to work in my art journal. I have become a real collector of stuff and can always use everything, that is not always appreciated at home :-) (My husband calls me a hoder)
Even though I have been working for so long I have never been in a design team, this is because I never wanted any obligations.
But France's BSct member (Butterfly Squad creative team) is very special and an honor for me!

1) What is well spend creative time to you?
If a project is successful for me, my day can not go wrong!
2) What is your go to technique?
With technique I try everything, try the products and see what the outcome is.
I love it when an old vintage style comes out, and has a lot of structures.
3) 3 mediums you couldn't live without?
The 3 mediums i couldnot live without molding paste, crackle paste and gel medium. I like to have a lot of structure in my work.

4) How would you like people to describe your creative universe?
The work what I make depends on how my mood is, i hope you find it orginal.
(this is a difficult question to answer about yourself. Since many people do not know me I would like to have this question answered by the viewers in six months' time)
5) How do you overcome the fear of the blank page when art journaling?
I never have a real plan in my head, but pick up the products that I want to work with. I just start in my journal, and see what it becomes. There are no mistakes in my art journal, everything is a journey...
See you back here soon!
Cheers :)
Kathleen
