My friend Donna and I agreed yesterday: someone has messed up the time system and now time is going way too fast. And there's no doubt a lot of you out there must feel the same way... So yes, I do have a lot to tell you, but I will have to focus on the priorities for now.
First off, I hope you all had a wonderful Chirstmas, filled with love and joy. As for the upcoming new year, I wish you all plenty of what your heart desires, topped with laughter and happiness.
I know 2016 will be a year of great changes for me, as I agreed on something big (for me!) beginning of December. In January, I will be back in California for the Craft and Hobby Association Mega Show (aka CHA), which is a big professionnal craft and hobby event. Except that this year, I'm going as a brandambassador for Pentacolor (insert huge smile and crazy bunny dancing here!)
Remember my secret mission trip to Budapest? Well, I went over to visit the Pentacolor HQ, had meetings, talked to the peeps in the lab, the staff, saw their warehouse... I felt like Charlie from Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory! And frankly, I still do... I expect to see the Oompa Lumpa's appear any moment in my studio...
I had to say goodbey to my brandambassadorship for Finnabair (in case you're wondering, she knows all about it, encouraged me and yes, we are still very good friends!). The big difference is that I will be working close with the lab of Pentacolor and the manufacturing process, which for a designer is a dream come true.
So you can expect to see new Pentacolor focused classes very soon. But for now, I need to get back in my studio and keep on prepping for CHA. The photo is the very first art piece I made for Pentacolor, using their rusting system, 3D Balls, Decor Clay, Wax Paste, Crackle paste system, Metal Acrylic Paint, ... I keep going from one 'oooh this is a fun and great product' into the next!
Mon amie Donna et moi on était d'accord hier: quelqu'un a chipoté au système temps et depuis, il file. Et je n'ai aucun doute sur le fait que beaucoup d'entre vous ressentent la même chose... Donc oui, j'ai beaucoup de choses à vous dire, mais il faut que je me concentre sur les priorités.

Je m'attends à voir apparaître les Oompa Lumpa à tout moment dans mon atelier...
J'ai dû dire au revoir à ma position d'embassadrice pour Finnabair (et au cas où vous vous posez la question, Finn est au courant de tout, elle m'a encouragée et oui, nous sommes encore toujours de vraies amies). La grosse différence est que je vais travailler en collaboration avec le labo de Pentacolor et que je serai impliquée dans le procéssus de fabrication, ce qui pour un designer est le rêve total!
Donc vous pouvez vous attendre à de nouveaux ateliers Pentacolor très bientôt. Mais la maintenant, faut que je retourne dans mon atelier et que je me prépare pour le CHA. La photo est celle de ma première réa pour Pentacolor, faite en utilisant leur système de rouille, les boules 3D, le Decor Clay, la pâte de cire, le système de pâte à craquelures, la peinture acrylique métal... En travaillant, je suis passée d'un 'oooooh quel chouette produit' au suivant!
